The word anticipation can be fun, stressful and most of all a moment in time that seems to never come about then suddenly we missed out on what we were waiting for! My thoughts on anticipation cover a lot of territory and have some definite good and bad sides. So let's explore what anticipation is for a true Travel Professional!
Anticipation your client will accept your offer?
This is the natural "high" that comes with being a true professional and makes this career so much fun. Everyone is disappointed when a client does the unthinkable and books on line or direct with a supplier that you have just quoted, but you know; it's okay, because they aren't clients for life and when they get burned by a web site or company that fails in these difficult economic times it will be a lesson learned. So we keep on offering great values (values are not dirt cheap deals-they are exactly what you deserve to get with your vacation or travel dollars), in anticipation that our clients see the value of our services and continue to book.
Anticipation your travel professional will get you what you want as a client?
This is the most important natural "high" on the other side of the equation, you; our clients deserve only the best. Being the best priced valued travel offer, safest offer, solid companies, reputable suppliers and most of all life changing trips and adventures. Your travel professional wants to create a very high level of anticipation so that once you see the offer, you know it's the right offer at the right time for the right journey. Anticipation can be so rewarding and fulfilling!
Anticipation nothing will go wrong while your traveling?
This is a nice dream, but let's be realistic; anything at anytime can happen - be prepared and only book your travels with a professional, why turn your anticipation of joy into pain, loss and heart ache? Thinking you are saving money by booking on your own is a classic way to bust your own bubble or anticipation of a great vacation. It's not worth it - and even if you did find a cheaper vacation on your own is the risk worth the 1% savings? Not insuring your vacation can also create an entire bag of troubles and pain, not only emotionally but financially as well.
Anticipation your travel professional knows everything?
We are widely respected in the industry as professionals, but knowing if your flight will be delayed, if the airport will be fogged in, your rental car will be sporty this time is not realistic. What is realistic in anticipating that if and when you have a problem you have a professional taking care of you and the situation. We can get rooms at sold out hotels in some cases, we can't hold the cruise ship for you to have another cocktail on the beach, we can't hold the aircraft at the gate while you run to check in, we can't prevent the desk clerk from being rude when you check into the hotel. We can however get you the room you paid for if not offered, we can get you re-routed on the next flight, we can get you to the next port of call to meet your ship, we can arrange private air travel if needed, we can exercise your rights as a consumer and traveler, we can provide you with help when you might be relieved of your passport, ID or traveling money. How? that's why we are the professionals!
Anticipation we can fix it - even when all else fails?
We can, but only if you booked with a professional and only if the situation isn't one that caused harm, loss or damage to anything or anyone by you the passenger. We aren't going to be your "bully" we are your "advocate".
Anticipation you and your friends are going to have a great time?
Of course you are, why; because you used a professional and you told your professional travel advocate what you expect at what cost and he or she will deliver not only the best value, but the best connections and amenities available.
Anticipation is Trust, and Trust is okay to be Anticipated!
Happy Travels!
